Post Workout Snack: Peanut Butter Apple Slices


As I am trying to do a meat-free January (and I’m pretty fussy) it can be quite hard ensuring I eat enough protein on a daily basis. So, I wrote down a list of all my favourite types of non meat, high in protein foods:

Natural yoghurt
Flax and chia seeds
Peanut butter
Hemp protein powder

I am now trying to incorporate those into my diet more to help me build lean muscle.
After my workout today I fixed myself this quick and easy snack to keep me going but also give me some protein.

1 apple (Braeburn or jazz are my fav)
1tbsp of peanut butter (try and use one without palm oil or additives/salt
Sprinkle of chia seeds
Sprinkle of flax seeds

Chop the apple into pieces, spread with peanut butter, sprinkle on chia and flax seeds…devour!
Easy peasy!
