What Kind of Eater Are You?

I saw this interesting article yesterday and thought I’d share it with you. Leading obesity experts and BBC Science have tested the theory that we all have different eating habits and based on those habits, we need different foods in order to maintain a healthy weight.

I took the test and it turns out I am what the call a “constant craver” and they recommend I use intermittent fasting to help maintain a healthy weight. Take the test and find out what kind of eater you are here

    You may not be at all interested in suggestions, so feel free to ignore my post if you like. I just wanted to let you know that I have had difficulties with cravings (desserts!!) most of my life. When I would try to lose weight by reducing fat and calories, I would inevitably have strong cravings and give in to them, go on binges and would gain whatever weight I lost back. Starting a year ago, I decided to reduce my portions but started increasing the fat in my diet (whole milk yogurt, 2% milk, more nuts, lots of olive oil, butter!) and found that I didn’t get cravings nearly as much, LOVED what I was eating, and lost about 15 lbs. It’s possible that this just works for me and may not work for others and you clearly have a very healthy diet and a situation that is working well for you. But I just wanted to share my experience since it sucks to crave foods and feel deprived. I don’t feel deprived now, and I get to eat BUTTER!! Who knew.
