Welcome to my Blog!
My name is Katy and I have created this blog to create interesting and fun content about my healthy fitness lifestyle. On my blog you will find healthy vegan recipes (including, gluten free, wheat free and high carb low fat), workouts, meal plans and nutritional information.
So, a little about me:
I realised during my time studying at University that my real passion was for health and fitness, not the course I was on. Thankfully, during that time I joined the gym, ran a half marathon, lost 1 and a half stone and learned more about nutrition. I now teach fitness classes for an awesome company in my local area, hold a Level 4 Diploma in Personal Nutrition, Level 2 in Gym Instruction and am currently working towards a Level 3 in Personal Training.
However, I started this journey as somebody with no knowledge, I am simply sharing what I have learned and what I am continuing to learn about health and fitness.
I am a massive foodie and love creating new and exciting recipes- healthy food should be delicious, not boring!
In July 2015 I watched 2 documentaries: ‘Cowspiracy’ (can be found on Netflix) and ‘Eathlings’. Overnight I became vegan and have continued to maintain a vegan lifestyle ever since. All recipes on my blog since July 2015 are vegan and my goal is to educate and inspire others to eat a more plant-based lifestyle. With regards to fitness I like to mix it up and enjoy a wide variety of different exercises e.g. weightlifting, HIIT, boxing, spinning and yoga. Health should be everyone’s number one priority- there really is nothing more important. That is why I created this blog; to provide resources for others to be the healthiest version of themselves.
When I’m not eating or working out I spend my free time with my lovely boyfriend (a Krav Maga instructor, Personal Trainer and my very own health and fitness guru/life coach/motivator/cook/washer upper :p ), we regularly workout together doing weightlifting sessions.
