Pre-Holiday Diet and Exercise Routine

  
‘No carbs before Marbs’ or rather ‘No carbs before Barbs’ as that’s where I’m off to (Barbados).

I’m a very goal orientated and motivated person and prefer to work under pressure. If I gave myself a goal that was in 6 months time I might not work as hard during the first few months because 6 months is just too far away for me.

I also like to push myself and, whilst I strive to have a healthy bod all year round I don’t think there’s anything wrong with becoming a little stricter and working harder for a special event or holiday- I want to look my best.

So with just under 4 weeks before my holiday (25 days- not that I’m counting or anything) I thought I’d up the exercise and cut the crap in my diet to really see what my body is capable of.

So this is one of my new favourite pancake recipes. I LOVE pancakes- it’s become a Sunday/Weekend tradition for my boyfriend and me to treat ourselves and have pancakes. This recipe isn’t one of my most healthy, but it also isn’t that unhealthy, especially if you make it with my strawberry puree instead of adding sugar or maple syrup.

The Honest Truth About Weightloss

  
Warning- blog contains bad language and serious grumpiness.

This is probably the most honest post I’ll ever write- apologies for grammatical errors but rants don’t require proper punctuation and spelling okay?!

Most people would say I have an alright body- even I admit it occasionally. I also post pictures on Instagram of me in a crop top, stomach out (providing the lighting’s good and i’ve yet to eat breakfast, you might even see a hint of abdominal definiton) flexing as hard as I can.

However, I have days where i literally feel shit about my looks and although this post is mainly about fat and weight- these personally body hatred days often coincide with “why does my hair look like shit/i wish i wasn’t so pale and pasty/my nose is like a bloody witch’s (no offence to any witches reading this), i look tired, my skin’s dry etc. etc. etc. seriously i could go on forever.

Today happened to be one of those days where I literally want to curl up in a ball, spoon nutella straight from the jar into my mouth and binge watch netflix because everything is just shit.

Healthy Mexican Tacos

Mexican food is probably my favourite food, scratch that, BBQ food is my favourite, Mexican comes in at a close second. The great thing about both is that they are super easy to make healthy (except the large handfuls or cheese and spoonfuls of sour cream poured on top of it, haha).

I made this recipe the other day when I didn’t have any taco shells. Taco shells aren’t actually that unhealthy but I fancied adding in some rice instead. You can always omit the rice if you fancy. No rules here 🙂

Let me tell you right now and save you years of trying shit, fad diets like I have, THEY DON’T WORK. Juice cleanses, detox teas, diet pills, wraps and ridiculous bone crushing corsets might work in the short term, but you can’t keep that shit up. Where to Start:
There is so much conflicting advice given to the public about how to lose weight, it’s understandable that even some of the most savvy fitness freaks can get confused about what they should/shouldn’t be eating or how they should be working out. If you have just decided to make a change and become healthier and fitter (yay for you!) it can be quite a daunting situation- should you be eating carbs after 6 or even at all? Should you completely cut out fat and sugar? Should you try the 5:2 diet? I have put together a basic guide to get you started- nobody needs to go on crazy crash diets to lose weight, you just need to eat the right foods, in the right amounts, within your calorie requirements and make sure you exercise too.
